I’m back again with a new-ish blog. The old one has been put out to pasture, much like some of the technologies I was writing about.

I’m no longer using WordPress. When I came back, I was faced with a deluge of updates, some of which broke things, and I had to sort through the fallout.

I’ve switched to Hugo, where I can write posts in Markdown and deploy them with a single command. Hugo builds the site, and I can then upload it to my web server as a static website.

No more comments, and I don’t have to worry about spam bots flooding them. I’ll probably add some contact details here at some point.

Quite a bit has changed since my last blog post: AI has taken over the world, Java is up to version 26, and despite many claims a decade ago, it is still not dead and is still doing some interesting things.

In addition to continuing to write technical articles about programming and libraries, I might also do a bit more casual writing too.
